My last blog post ( https://hive.blog/hive-140217/@asynckronism/powering-back-on ) talked about getting back into gaming after a short break and now I am sharing some screenshots that stood out to me as well as the short stories that go along with them.

Hell Let Loose

I turned on Hell Let Loose, a WW2 FPS with communication being key to success, to play the Heavy Machine gunner role to hold key points with my team.

Headed to the crossroads.

This time it seemed like all the action was approaching my position. In the field ahead there’s wreckage from three destroy vehicles.

Enemy troops were nestled in the husks.

Our held position was eventually uprooted by an enemy recon vehicle that breached the defenses and allowed the enemy infantry to advance.

Those last moments gone up in smoke…grenades.

Hunt: Showdown

For the past two weeks, I have been honing my skills and have begun to better understand the bayou. Using a Bow was a good test for me to see how much I have improved and it paid off! The map setting was dark and I was in the reeds awaiting a target. It didn’t take too long before I loosed an arrow towards an unsuspecting player and got a direct hit, killing him without a fuss.

Night time Hunting

In another match, after killing an Immolator his head clipped through the train wall making it seem like he smashed his head through the wood.

Hot headedness got the best of him

Recruitment for Hunters is a roll of the dice, Equipment, traits, and attire are all random and sometimes the hunter names cause a moment of pause. This was one of my choices and I chose him because his name was too wild for me to pass up.

I spent two minutes trying to pronounce this name

New World

New World recently got updated and it seemed like a better time than any to play again. I finally upgraded the armor on my character:

The landscape seemed so colorful and vast that I briefly stopped leveling to take some pictures.

It is difficult to find a vibrant setting in most other games

I chose to join in an invasion, where the NPCs invade a territory owned by a player guild, and it was pretty cool defending seeing all the different players and their weapons demolishing the enemy.

They popped up from the ground, like daisies!

Towards the end, this pillar started growing from the muck.

I thought maybe enemies emerged from the top

It slowly took form and as the shape became more clear I realized that everybody else was moving away and I was still moving towards it.

Those orbs must be the weak point?

Perform Evasive maneuvers! Evacuate! Eject!

I didn’t know the enemy would have skulls that shot lasers! Each eye beam focused on a different player causing them to take cover or suffer the penalty of death.

Those were some of the highlights I managed to capture. I often get requests to always be recording my gameplay so I can show off the highlights better, instead of pushing record or taking screenshots before and after the event has happened, and I may just have to start doing that.
