Game Photographer: Viewing the Worlds I Game in (Cross-Posted)

(Game Photographer was a title I thought of and wanted to test it out)

Well equipped Adventurer with Camera! Personally made in Paint

There are times while I am gaming when I run across an area or scene that just looks too defining of an image to come from the currently played game and I’ll wonder if I was playing a different game when the scene changes. I have learned to keep a finger on the ‘screenshot’ button to capture an event that pops out whenever it occurs again.

In this post I’ll share some ‘Photography’ I captured while roaming around in the game world!

In New World(MMORPG) it takes eliminating the UI to take an ‘okay’ looking photo. I usually find scenes to capture while foraging for resources:

The dusk setting and the fog/mist set a tone

In Fallout 76(MMORPG/FPS), Even though the setting is ‘post apocalyptic’, the chance for good photography is there! I try and take advantage of the Photo Mode as best I can:

Right beside the tube there were several skeletons in swim-wear…

‘I crept down the trashed hallway’

And in Hunt: Showdown(FPS), matches are so intense that its difficult finding time to press the screenshot button while in a firefight! I got some to share though:

Had to restart game to get the menu back

The last two photos are from Deep Rock Galactic(FPS).

Took this photo because it reminded me of the game menus on Playstation 2 games

I enjoy taking the time to be a photographer in different games. It really is a different mindset moving around a battlefield or crazed match with the intent to capture a great photo! I have a lower end computer so it does take a lot of adjusting the game settings to run that fine line between great looking graphics and smooth performance.

There are ‘Game Journalists’ so why not add ‘Game Photographers’ as a job title or description? I think that would be cool.

I hope you enjoyed my ‘Game Photography’ and reading this post! It’s a fun experience for me finding the right shots and figuring out my method to this madness.

Until next time, Happy Gaming!
