I am usually not interested in ‘Seasons’ in a game. The requirements to advance in level are grindy and the ‘better’ rewards are often locked behind a ‘battlepass’. I’ll still look, though many of the ‘rewards’ will just be available through other means so it’s not a big dea-

As many are aware… I enjoy Fishing in Games (Example 1, Example 2, Example 3, ETC,) and the fishing in New World is great for chilling out with some music.
To get to level 35 for the season challenge would require completing copious amounts of challenges and activities.
Each ‘chapter’ has 10-13 challenges available to complete for massive season level XP. Thankfully I could advance to the next chapter with 5-7 completed.
The activities card is similar to filling a Bingo card with easier challenges but less season xp reward.
My work was cut out for me and the shenanigans I found myself in were either ‘just another day’

It took longer than I thought to get here.
I almost lost interest when I got here as the grind was beginning to be a bit much. I hit a wall of being unable to complete more challenges and I struggled to fill the activity card. But somewhere in the wee hours, inspiration hit me.

I somehow managed to knock out activity after activity and level my season level to right under 35
It’s right there!
I thought the last level would be the hardest but the activities were quite easy and before long I had it.
Finally. All of my hard work… For a skin
There was no real rush of endorphins or excitement after I acquired it, which was a little disappointing, but I accomplished my goal and it was relevant to an aspect of the game I enjoy.

All in all, I probably won’t continue advancing in the season as I realized that this pursuit wasn’t beneficial beyond my interest in the subject. It wasn’t even a pole with stats but instead a tool skin to make it look different.
